Fundación Tekniker has recently passed ENAC's assessment, making its laboratory the first accredited laboratory for calibrating coordinate measurement systems, known as laser trackers, in accordance with the ISO 10360-10 standard.

The laser tracker is an instrument enabling a large object’s dimensions to be measured precisely by reflecting laser light on targets placed at the points to be measured.

Having an accredited laboratory to calibrate this equipment ensures that the results of the measurements carried out with them are directly traceable to the length unit.

Tekniker's accreditation guarantees the calibration results carried out on the measuring equipment since, in order for the measurements to have the corresponding metrological traceability, the equipment used must be calibrated by a laboratory that has qualified, experienced personnel and the necessary and appropriate equipment and infrastructures to carry out its activity. This ensures the calibrations can be traced to the International System of Units, it applies appropriate calibration methods and procedures, and employs techniques to ensure the validity of the results, and so on.
